You start free, everything on. That free run is your chance to decide. Walk away before it ends and you're never charged a cent.

We'd rather you try the whole thing for free than pay first and ask for the money back later. So instead of a refund window, you get a real one: time with Maya, no charge, before any money changes hands.

How the free start works

Every new account starts free with everything on. Depending on your account it takes one of two shapes: a 7-day free trial with a card on file (the card is only so it's you and not a bot; nothing is charged during the trial, and we remind you before it ends), or a stretch of free messages with no card at all. Either way the paid plans are the same, $199 a year (that's $16.60 a month) or $24 a month, and you always know the date and the amount before you're ever charged.

After the free part

If your free start was the card-free kind, your first payment comes with a 7-day, no-questions refund: tell us within 7 days of that first charge and we refund it in full. Beyond that, once your subscription is running we don't refund the months you've paid for. The free start was the time to decide, and cancelling is always one click away. When you cancel, it simply stops renewing and you keep access through the period you've already paid for.

Your statutory rights

Nothing here takes away rights you have by law. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on the paid subscription. When you start Maya you ask us to begin right away and acknowledge that you give up that withdrawal right once the service is fully provided, but if you withdraw within those 14 days after using it, you may owe a pro-rata amount for what you used rather than nothing at all. You also keep your rights if the service is genuinely faulty or doesn't match what we described. If something's wrong, just tell us, we'd rather make it right.

The founding plan

The old $97-a-year founding plan is closed to new sign-ups. If you bought it, nothing changes: your rate stays locked exactly as promised.
